--The most relieved man in the Redskins' locker room this week has to be Durant Brooks. The rookie punter's job was on the line after he had a horrible game in Week 2 against New Orleans. Brooks came into the Arizona game as the NFL's last-ranked punter and he came through with a 42.0-yard net average on four punts.
"It was a 360, a total difference," Brooks said. "You get some good punts, have a decent day, you feel so much better."
--Lorenzo Alexander earned some fame locally last season while playing and practicing on Washington's offensive and defensive lines. Alexander has been focusing almost exclusively on defense this year, but he was in the lineup with the jumbo package on Jason Campbell's 2-yard touchdown pass to Todd Yoder that gave Washington a 17-10 lead in the third quarter against Arizona. And Alexander tipped Kurt Warner's pass away on second down on Arizona's final possession to help seal the victory.
"I'm just helping where I can," Alexander said.
