
Lawrence Taylor used to dance all over opposing QBs. Now he'll try not to dance on his partner's toes as he becomes the latest sports star to join "Dancing With the Stars."
The Giants' great follows in the footsteps of fellow NFL stars Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Warren Sapp and Jason Taylor, who each embraced the competition. Smith won it in 2006, while Rice and Taylor both earned runner-up finishes.
Lawrence Taylor has ventured into acting since ending his NFL career in 1993, with roles in "Any Given Sunday" and "The Waterboy" among others.
He joins a group of 13 contestants that includes singer Lil Kim, Steve-O of Jackass fame, actress Denise Richards and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
Also representing the sports world are 17-year-old Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and rodeo star Ty Murray, who joins his singer wife Jewel on the show.
