Filed under: Redskins, Steelers, AFC NorthThe Steelers have plenty to worry about next Monday when they face the Redskins. They have to show they can overcome a slew of injuries. They have to figure out a way to confuse the unflappable Jason Campbell and slow down the game’s leading rusher in Clinton Portis.
And as Ben Roethlisberger explains it, they also have to avoid paying too much attention to the Redskins cheerleaders.
“I’m not a big fan of playing there because it is loud, they’re really good at home and they try to make their cheerleaders stretch in our tunnel before we come out of the locker room. That’s just not good,” Roethlisberger said yesterday.Thankfully for Roethlisberger and the Steelers, the NFL cracked down on the Redskins weapons of mass distraction and have banned the cheerleaders from stretching in front of the visitors locker room. That’s good news for the Steelers players, who don’t have an equivalent weapon since they don’t have cheerleaders of their own.
